Concept of Operations 3

Concept of Operations 3 involves automatic reporting of configuration by component where the telematics device is installed in all components of the vehicle which calculates the distance and location points individually. The telematics system installed also reports the recorded fuel consumption.

Factors for calculating the distance-based charges for ConOps 3

• Distance travelled on public road

• Regulatory mass of each component

The total Road user charging (RUC) for this configuration would be the sum of Registration charges along with Distance-based charge for whole configuration unit.
